Changelog
A plain-language summary of what changed for testers between TestFlight builds — see the Beta page if you're looking for how to join or what to test right now.
Build 5
- Keyboard menus that stayed in Japanese while the app was set to Italian are now translated — for example the confirmation shown when turning on clipboard history.
- Clipboard history now opens directly with a long press on the main keys, instead of needing an extra tap afterwards.
- The setup guide's pictures are now available in Italian and English, not just Japanese.
Build 6
- A small badge on the key now shows when a long press will open clipboard history, making the shortcut easier to notice.
- Fixed the suggestion bar sometimes hiding itself over an important notice it should have kept showing.
Build 7
- Added an option to move the cursor by sliding your finger on the space bar, off by default, with three speed levels.
- Added an option for a real row of number keys above the QWERTY keyboard, off by default.
- A dedicated support email address is now active for questions and bug reports.
Build 8
- New defaults on a fresh install: English and Italian now start on QWERTY (Japanese stays flick), the suggestion bar hides when there's nothing to show, and the bottom row matches Apple's own layout — wide space bar, return as an icon, no period key next to space.
- Double-tapping the space bar now types a period and a space, the same way the system keyboard does; backspace right after restores the two spaces. Sentences now auto-capitalize after a period, exclamation mark or question mark in normal text fields.
- The cursor-slide option on the space bar (still off by default) now has a speed picker: slow, medium or fast.
- Clipboard history now opens from a long press on the main number key only; the other shortcut keys can be switched back on in Settings.
- The experimental autocorrect option (still off by default) now ignores words your phone had "learned" by mistake.
- VoiceOver now announces the delete key as "Delete" in every language, instead of an unclear symbol name.
Build 9 — in preparation
Not yet released — these items are being worked on for the next build:
- The keyboard extension's privacy declaration is being completed.
- The clipboard panel is being made more compact, with a date and time shown on each entry.
- The period key at the end of the second letter row is being removed, to match the system keyboard's layout.
- Two fixes contributed back from azooKey are being ported: deletions from the user dictionary that weren't being saved, and emoji that lost their chosen skin tone or style. A third fix, for input that lands right on the boundary between a short and a long press, has been postponed to the next version.
- Requires iOS 18.0.
